Carriers of the Flame!

Jesus called the church a candlestick, or a lampstand in Revelation chapter one, and verse twenty.  A candle does no good in a dark place unless it us lit! It must be burning and shining! Jesus said, "Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light to all that are in the house." (Matthew 5:15) Remember the song, "This little Light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine?" It is not a little light that we have! "Our God is a consuming fire!" (Hebrews 12:29) Hide it under a bushel???....No!!!

The days that we are living in are full of darkness and dispair, but just like King David, we can say, "You (O LORD) will light my lamp! The LORD will enlighten my darkness!" (Psalm 18:28) This is no time to hide the light! Let the LORD light your lamp and let it shine! When the LORD gave the blueprint for the Tabernacle, the LORD spoke to Moses saying, "Command the children of Israel that they bring to you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to make the lamps burn continually!" (Leviticus 24:1-2) King David said, "I have been anointed with fresh oil!" (Psalm 92:10) Church, "You have an anointing from the Holy One!" (1 John 2:20) "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in heaven!" (Matthew 5:16)

There are hurting and hopeless people all around us. We must share the hope that we have in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Last week a family shared with me that there niece was found in the closet. She tried to hang herself. One night I was sharing the Good News and I went up to a man who was behind a truck, and said to him, "Sir Jesus cares for you! He loves you! He died for you!...) He said, "You just saved my life. I was going to kill myself." We must open our eyes and see that the devil is busy seeking to steal, kill, and destroy! (John 10:10) Church we must redeem the time!!! We must let the light so shine!!!  

"Awake, you who sleep! Arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light!" (Ephesians 5:14-16)

PRAY!!! Pray for the lost around us! Pray for their salvation! Jesus still saves! We recently met a family who had a praying grandmother! The grandson was a mocker, but as we shared with them the Word of God, the Lord began to convict his girlfriend of her need of the Lord. We shared the Word of God and were able to pray with them. This week I was reminded how one plants, one waters, but God gives the increase! (1 Corinthians 2:6-7) I saw the grandmother this week, and she said that woman came to church with her on Sunday and called upon the Lord Jesus for salvation! Praise the Lord!!!

PRAY that the church would be a burning and shining light in these days! Jesus said, "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest!" (Luke 10:2)  Remember the word of our Lord! "I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it!" (Matthew 16:18)

"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen!" (Ephesians 3:20-21)

Thank you for standing with us in prayer! May the Lord strengthen you by His grace to continue fighting the good fight of faith! Till we see Jesus! ~\o/~ Maranatha!

REDEEM THE TIME!

....“There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day.  But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate,  desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.  So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.  And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’  But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.  And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’ “Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house,  for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’  Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’  And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’  But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’” - Luke 16:19-3

BE STRONG IN THE LORD!

...Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.  Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,  and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;  praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—  and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,  for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. - Ephesians 6:10-20

AWAKE OUT OF SLEEP!

...And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.  The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.  Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.  But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

It's not even our house
it is the LORD'S HOUSE
Jesus said, "MY House
shall be called....
THE HOUSE OF PRAYER!"

Let the Holy Spirit help you pray

 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.  Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. - Romans 8:26-27

PRAY without ceasing!

"The one concern of the Devil is to keep the saints from praying. He fears nothing from prayer-less studies, prayer-less work, prayer-less religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but trembles when we pray." -Samuel Chadwick ~\o/~ 1.Thess.5:17.

PRAY for laborers to GO out into His harvest! ~Lk.10:2.

The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.  - Luke 10:2

AWAKE & PRAY!

It is time to "Awake to righteousness, and do not sin...for some do not have the knowledge of God." ~1.Cor.15:34~ "Awake! ...Arise! ...Christ will give you light! ...Redeeming the time because the days are evil." ~Eph.5:15+16~

PRAY EARNESTLY

Continue earnestly in PRAYER, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving~\o/~Praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the Word, to speak the mystery of Christ! (Colossians.4:2-3)
